During the lifegroup semester, we will be posting sermon discussion guides that can be used in either a group setting or for further personal study and reflection.

ICEBREAKER Change is hard, but change fosters growth. Spend some time looking back at memories on Facebook and share with others in the group how God has helped you grow and develop from that time. Think about the good that can come from the upcoming change in our Church. Pray for unity, stability, and strength for our Church.

1. How are you processing the news of Pastor Bryon's pending departure?
2. Read 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10
a. Do you believe God has chosen you for a special mission?
b. How do you live your life in a way that honors the call God has placed on your life?
c. What role do faith, hope, and love have in how you live your life?
d. In what ways do you let the joy of the Holy Spirit reign in your life?
e. What kind of personal response have you made to God who loves you as His beloved child?
f. What do the Gospels mean to you and how do they relate to the stories of the Old Testament?
g. What level of conviction do you have in the saving message of Jesus Christ?

MOVING FORWARD Ask group members to spend time on the following over the next week as they review the message and group discussion.
● Read the scripture verses from this week’s message and reflect on what you learned this week.
● What has your journey of discipleship been like, and how are you continuing to grow in your faith?
 ● How does what we're reading in the church's Bible reading plan relate to the transition in our church?
● Spend time in worship encouraged by what you learned and heard from God during this week’s message.
