REVIEWING THE MESSAGE: To view the message, go to
Get a bowl, a towel, and some soap. Spend some time washing the hands of other people in your group. Leviticus  talks a great deal about being ceremonially clean, or unclean. We know that only the blood of Jesus Christ can  ever wash away our sins, but in the simple act of washing another person's hands, we are reminded that Christ  makes us clean and he demonstrated that in washing the feet of the apostles. This act of washing someone's hands  also is a reminder to us that we need to think less about ourselves and focus on serving others.

1. How can we follow the example of Jesus Christ and serve others throughout our daily lives?
2. Read 1 Peter 2:4-10
a. We are called to be a royal priesthood. Will you be a person that brings forth a sacrifice? b. We are called to be light in the darkness. Does the light of Christ shine through in your service to others? c. God has always required a sacrifice to atone for the sins of man. Have you accepted the free gift of salvation? d. Do you treat everything you say and do as an act of service unto the Lord?
e. Do people see the love of Christ when they look at your life?
f. Do you spend time each morning, thanking the Lord for saving you and making you clean before God? g. How is your life an example to others?

Ask group members to spend time on the following over the next week as they review the message and group  discussion.
● Read the scripture verses from this week’s message and reflect on what you learned this week.
● Do you understand the true meaning of the servant's towel and what it represents?
● Be intentional in doing something to serve others this week.
● Spend time in worship encouraged by what you learned and heard from God during this week’s message.

"Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.." Colossians 3:23
