SCRIPTURE REFERENCES: Genesis 1:1-13 | Genesis 6 | Exodus 6:5-7 | Titus 3: 3-7
SERIES TITLE: Salvation Through the Waters
REVIEWING THE MESSAGE: To view the message, go to

Spend some time reflecting on the image of the flowing water of the Jordan River:
Think about how God has used water throughout the story of mankind to bring healing and restoration, culminating in the story of Jesus being baptized in the Jordan River. God wants His healing water to flow through you. Open your heart and let the healing waters of God bring you peace - the peace that passes all understanding.

1. On the day of Pentecost, the power of the Holy Spirit fell upon the apostles. Have you received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit? If so, how are you using the gifts of the Holy Spirit to bless others? If not, prepare your heart and ask God to sanctify you while you wait for this precious gift.
2. Read Genesis 1:1-13
a. What does the story of creation tell us about how God brings order out of chaos?
b. How does the story of Noah continue God's story of salvation for the human race?
c. How does the story of the exodus of the Israelites through the Red Sea further show God's redemptive plan?
d. How does the story of the Jordan River culminate the story of healing through flowing waters?
e. How does God separate darkness and light in each of these stories, saving His people from the power of sin?
f. In what ways does the word "Ruah", meaning breath or wind, show up again and again throughout Scripture?

Ask group members to spend time on the following over the next week as they review the message and group discussion.
● Read the scripture verses from this week’s message and reflect on what you learned this week.
● Have you received the free gift of salvation, in which God does the work in your heart to save you from sin?
● Consider being baptized in the healing waters of God if you have never experienced this blessing.
● Spend time in worship encouraged by what you learned and heard from God during this week’s message.
"And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever [c]the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes."
Ezekiel 47:9
